The first section, "Earth," opens with a home that seems part of the earth itself, which looks out on a Sinaguan ruin. This section includes photos that highlight the rocks, mountains, vegetation and flowers, both native and imported to the area. Lush Oak Creek also rates special inclusion in this portion. "Light" features sunsets, landscapes and small scenes where the light plays over settings showing the effect of the four seasons. The "Dwelling" section focuses on the wide variety of homes in the area. The style of homes ranges from the basic and organic that seem to grow from the earth itself to the contemporary structures that act as a counterpoint to Mother Nature but live side by side with her. The final section of the book, "Flavors" offers recipes that come from residents, ranging from traditional ethnic to "Nuevo Cuisine." Hardcover; 142 pages.
